Verona 1-3 Roma “Rome & Juliet”

An impressive win against an impressive team. Roma showed the right character and resilience to grab 3 points at the Bentegodi stadium. Verona run all over the place for 90 mins, they have some good players like Amrabat, Faraoni and Di Carmine, glimpses of a team that will give hardtime to anyone.

Roma didn’t play sparkling football but went on to build a solid performance in the end, showing superiority when needed. Pellegrini’s passes keep getting better and better, Kluivert is growing with confidence, Pau Lopez eventually with some good savings, Mkhytaryan is back with a good goal.

On the downside, Diawara needs to step up with pace and Cengiz was so awful hard to describe. Looks overweight and out of touch, hopefully he’ll be back to a decent form again. Kolarov is tired, and you can see that. Perotti scored the penalty but he’s needs to sharpen, too.

Next: top of the league Inter on Friday evening at the San Siro. Massive game. A great chance to show our ambitions. The Nerazzurri are on form with Conte constantly putting pressure all around his team. They are without Barella, Sensi and Gagliardini but can still boast Candreva, Vecino, Asamoah, Lazaro and Borja Valero. Lautaro and Lukaku are on fire. Smalling and Mancini have tough clients. But also Godin, Skriniar and De Vrij need to tackle Dzeko and co. Inter start favourites but Roma can hurt them. It will be a great game. Daje Roma.
