Roma 2-2 Fiorentina “Semi-reaction”

We had seen right. After the awful display seen with Napoli, it was legitimate to expect something more against Fiorentina, but not much. And in fact Roma does little more to take a point that is no use for chasing 4th spot.

We have seen a little more in the field but the team shows the same weaknesses. Winning a game from here to the end of the league will not be easy. Everything started from last summer. Confusion of various kinds at club level, some wrong signings, a mental condition and environmental problems that have affected the frame of the whole apparatus.

On the field we have seen the worst for many years now. Now everyone is looking for a scapegoat, looking for a culprit. Which is not there. First it was Di Francesco, then Monchi and Pallotta, and now there are those who have the courage to take it out on poor Ranieri who has only picked up the pieces and is trying in every way to patch up a team. Too easy.

The 10-year American era saw an endless list of coaches, managers and players. Yet, lack of continuity. Pallotta’s decision to hand Totti the main keys is a sensible but also a clever move by the President. But that’s okay. With Totti in charge, Franco Baldini must necessarily leave the scene.

It would not be wrong to start from the Romans and Romanistas, which will not mean winning but at least bringing back some normality, that sense of belonging and who knows bring people back to the stadium. And then, if Qatar Airways really could buy the club with the stadium package, who knows, we could be at another turnaround. Forza Roma.
