AS Roma Ireland – Roma Club Dublin wishes all its members and fans worldwide a Happy New Year! Thanks for the amazing support!

Let’s rewind 2017. We had so many events to remember here in Dublin and travelling overseas. Back in February we travelled together to Villarreal CF for the UEFA Europa League, then more recently to Chelsea Football Club and Atlético de Madrid for the Champions League. Such amazing trips!

Some of the lads took also several trips to Rome with our club banner to watch Roma at the Stadio Olimpico, as always. Of course, we were at the Stadio Olimpico sitting around the press section to witness the last game ever played by the King ? of Rome – Francesco Totti. We felt privileged to be able to watch his farewell live both on the pitch and on the press TV monitors, such as emotional and unforgettable day for all Roma fans.

In the summer we participated in the first Italian Clubs Tournaments in Dublin battling against the other Italian football fan clubs, and yes they got some really good stick from us:). Literally! Thanks to Milan Club Dublin to make it happen!

At the Roma Club here in Dublin we made lots of friends from all over the world, occasional tourists coming from Rome but also from other Roma Clubs from other parts of the world. By the same token, often our members find themselves watching matches at other Roma Clubs in around the world.

Our Christmas ? Party ? of course recently at Bar Italia was the latest event this year, another great day! Our new website www.asroma.ie was also created in the summer bringing fresh news and articles every day, Serie A TIM live coverage, calendars and matches, our online shop for merchandise, Roma club tours etc.

We kept writing articles in English for media mogul Carlo Zampa and Popolo Giallorosso. Our news coverage with Corrieregiallorosso.com and also featured on Il Romanista. We also feature in our new radio programme “Football Please” on Radio Dublino. Thanks also to our friends and radio journalists at Footballpress Quotidiano Sportivo Orazi e Curiazi By Antonio De Bartolo. And thanks to our association A.I.R.C. 1971 .

In 2018 we will continue to follow AS Roma at home and in Europe, including a group trip to ROMA v FC SHAKHTAR in March for UEFA Champions League. Forward we go! Be part of our Club ! Grazie ! Thank you all! #DublinRomanista #ASRoma
